Brief Description:

At the construction site in Japan, Wolverine fights Franken-Castle in an effort to save his son, Daken. Eventually, Frank defeats Wolverine soundly but, before he can finish him off, Henry Russo implores him to get out of there, due to the flurry of incoming police to the site. Frank angrily agrees and heads into the sewer. Once he exits the sewer and emerges on the street above, he is hit by a semi driven by Daken. With Frank severely injured, Daken cuts the Bloodstone out of his chest and triumphantly tells him he loses… again.

Full Summary:

Looking down at the beaten and bloodied Daken, Wolverine informs Franken-Castle that he’s his son. He ain’t perfect but he’s all he has. Turning towards Frank, Wolverine tells him to get out of there before it gets ugly. Frank tells him it’s too late for that and proceeds to knock Wolverine to the ground.

As Frank and Wolverine start to duke it out, Daken is shocked to see his father there and starts to slink away. Before he can get far, Frank puts his foot onto Daken’s back and tells him “I ain’t done with you boy.” Leaping at him, Wolverine cuts two of Frank’s fingers off on his left hand with his adamantium claws. Frank tells him “damn you.” Wolverine says that’s right, he’s just getting started with him boy. After Wolverine slashes Frank across the face, Henry Russo tries to inform Frank they are in deep. The site is blown; he has to get outta there. The police are going to be there any moment.

Wolverine tells Frank that it doesn’t have to be like this, he’s not worth it. Plodding towards Daken, Frank tells Wolverine to go to hell and get out of his way. Jamming his claws in Frank’s chest and slashing him across the face again, Wolverine says to Frank that he knows he’s not himself right now but he has to listen to him. Backing up from Frank, Wolverine mentions to him that he’s after the stone, can’t he see that? Peering at Wolverine and grabbing him by the throat, Frank replies yeah, he can see everything now. With that, Frank slams Wolverine’s head into steel girders three times.

Once Wolverine is out, Frank looks around but doesn’t see Daken. After informing Henry of that information he asks him where he is. Henry tells him he doesn’t know, doesn’t care. He needs to dust off. He’s got all kinds of unwanted company on the way. He’s been doing his best to sabotage their comms, but he can’t catch all of ‘em. Also, he doesn’t speak Japanese. Perturbed, Frank again asks Henry “Where. Is. He?” Henry angrily replies screw you. There’s more pressing matters that need to be taken care of right the hell now. Does he understand? Looking at the beaten Wolverine and over at the slab of wet concrete, Frank answers he’s right.

Just then, Frank drags Wolverine over to the concrete in an attempt to toss him in. Before he does so, Wolverine slices off the tips of Frank’s fingers and weakly tells him that he’s not gonna let… him… near him… again… When Frank tells him listen to your own advice old man, Wolverine suddenly collapses. Making his way over to him, Frank tells Wolverine he’s isn’t worth his protection and he’s not going to get it.

As Frank drags Wolverine back over to the vat of concrete, Henry asks him what the hell he is doing. He needs to get out of there, now. More S.W.A.T. are arriving and they’re almost on top of him. Please, he needs to go. Gritting his teeth, Frank replies fine, leaves Wolverine where he is laying, and drops down into a sewer.

In the sewer, Frank looks at his sliced off fingers and curses. Reaching a nearby ladder, Frank climbs out of the sewer and onto the street above. Once he does so, Frank is hit by a semi driven by Daken. Exiting the vehicle and standing over the destroyed Franken-Castle, the now healed Daken tells him “Well, aren’t you looking pretty?” Dragging Frank out from underneath the wreckage, Daken tells him to come here, don’t be shy. He wants to have a nice, long look at him.

Looking up at him, Frank weakly utters Da… ken… Leaning over him, Daken tells him shhhh, he’ll ruin the moment. And the Bloodstone is too sweet to waste. Popping his claws, Daken digs the Bloodstone out of Frank’s chest. As he does so, he tells him that he doesn’t even really know what he’s got. But he does, he knows power when he sees it. He’s alive when he should be dead and that’s a power he’d like to have. “So, sorry Frank… you lose. Again.”
