Hello all,

The last time I bought comics was the around the time of the Zero Tollerance cross-over series but I have just jumped in at Schism and began my collection again with Wolverine and the X-Men and the 2nd series of the Uncanny X-Men. Bu I find myself confused. Where does this run of comics sit in relation to the 3rd series of X-Men, if the do at all. And if the do not which "Universe" is the one consistent with the Orginal series of comics?

The only comic series that is "inconsistent" (i.e., not in continuity) with the original run of the X-Men is Ultimate X-Men. The Ultimate titles are their own universe.
 
X-Men (2nd series) was the title during OZT that showcased Iceman, Cecilia Reyes, Marrow and Sabra vs. Bastion. That series is still running, now called X-Men Legacy. If you picked up Schism, you know the X-Men recently split into two factions: Cyclops and Wolverine.
 
Wolverine is:
Wolverine and the X-Men
X-Men Legacy
X-Factor
Uncanny X-Force
Astonishing X-Men
 
Cyclops is:
Uncanny X-Men (2nd series)
X-Men (3rd series)
New Mutants
Generation Hope
X-Club (limited series)

Thanks for the super quick reply.
What has me confussed is, Colossus.
In Uncanny - he has Juggernaut powers in X-Men he doesn't? Or does he?
 
I'm going off the descriptions on the first page of the comic here. Also there has been the story line with the vampires that has included Storm, while Storm at the same time has been fully engaged in the Uncanny series.
 
I'm sorry if I need this spelling out.

Colossus can activate the Juggernaut powers at will. He tries not to unless it is absolutely necessary since he has a hard time controlling himself when he does.

Exactly, and whereas in the past only Wolverine would semi-regularly appear in multiple titles, nowadays quite many characters (Storm, Cyclops, Psylocke, Emma, etc.) get showcased in various books at the same time.
