Legion and Punisher, the undisputed Leaders of Relaunch at their respective companies. Punisher sure doesn't stick around for long nowadays. Since the current one is about to end and then no doubt started up in some other way as they'll want Punisher to be appearing somewhere whether Max or normal Marvel.

Moon Knight and Iron Fist should be on the list, too.

There's...
The Rampaging Hulk feature
Moon Knight
Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu
Marc Spector: Moon Knight
two Moon Knight 4-issue limiteds
Moon Knight Vol 4
Vengeance of the Moon Knight
Moon Knight Vol 5 (Big Shots!)

And...
Marvel Premiere serial
Iron Fist
Power Man and Iron Fist
two Iron Fist limiteds
Iron Fist Vol 4 (only 6 issues)
Immortal Iron Fist
Power Man and Iron Fist Vol 2 (solicited as an ongoing at one point)

Throw in the Heroes for Hire titles, and Iron Fist just can't get off the ground.
Charisma: the fine line between winning them over with charm and ruling them by fear.

No where does this article mention that lagging sales could be the reason behind multiple relaunches. I remember when I used to read Wizard magazine that Aquaman and Legion were always hovering around the bottom of the top 100. I guess Aquaman sells good nowadays with Geoff Johns writing it. It'd probably be lagging if he wasnt.

I'm guessing they just figure that it goes without saying that most books are ended and then relaunched because of sagging sales that they are either trying to boost through a cancel relaunch right away or are canceling to try again later with a relaunch to get better sales.

It is sometimes crazy to think how much popularity some characters like Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Punisher, She-Hulk, Legion and some others have...yet they can't ever seem to sell enough to maintain titles for long (not counting the titles where the writer/artist team decides to leave and the book gets canceled because of that to be relaunched under someone else like the last Moon Knight ending cause of Bendis leaving or this new Punisher ending as Rucka is done with his story). Popularity does not equal title sales. Which is not always just that people don't want to read them, but sometimes the creative direction is just crappy. I mean Punisher as an Angel? No thanks.

And some have the bad luck of having a great team with a great direction and then when the creative team decides to call it quits and move on the next team just can't match the energy or brings in a really lame effort. Like the follow ups to BKV on Runaways. None matched up even close. The least offensive was Whedon and even that was subpar.

It is crazy to think just how many volumes Legion and Punisher have gone through. They're like that one idea that doesn't pan out but you just keep trying cause you like it and the people like the concept but just can't always find the right execution of the idea.
