I'm trying so hard to care...But "who?" and "so what?" comes to mind haha

I mean Spider Woman MIGHT be featured in the Avengers films but I highly doubt it...And Avengers Assembles sucks and well, is another avenger books I don't care about.

Well Kelly Sue DeConnick is currently writing Captain Marvel. Obviously this news isn't for someone who doesn't care about the Avengers books but for those who might be interested in continuing to follow DeConnick's writing. *shrug*

I'm more interested in whether Avengers Assemble will be getting an identity of its own, other than "Shameless Marvel Movie Plug Machine".

Boom, this was my first thought when I read the news. I'm glad that Deconnick is getting the big boost, but I just don't see why I should be buying the book. : /

Wow awesome news. So all three Avengers book will be back on my list to read now with Bendis' taint being gone. I'm going to guess that it will evolve past movie tie-in since it's got Spider-Woman in it and she has nothing to do with any of the movies so far. And at least even if it uses the movie cast at least DeConnick isn't one to just ignore continuity like Bendis who ignored his own books continuity.

I'm in. Loving her work on Captain Marvel so far, and I think she's more than capable of taking this past movie tie-in status.

Plus depending on what type of agenda Hickman has for New Avengers, it might be worth it to have a title thats big, boisterous and superhero-y. Because I know Remender is going to make Uncanny Avengers a different type of book.

I could definitely see this as the big bombastic superhero action book that has them deal with big things. New Avengers is still the wild card as we know nothing about it. Avengers has been said to be one that will deal with small to big stuff sometimes not even on planet. Uncanny seems to be a book that will deal with threats that blur the lines between the Avengers and the X-Men normal foes.

So this could be a big heroic book, and with DeConnick I'm sure we'll actually get some characterization that fits with the other books and fits with continuity.
