I just read x-men vol 2 in which Dark Beast I guess suddenly becomes aware of this worlds Hank McCoy? For someone who is aware of this worlds Sinister enough to be massively afraid of him and has been around enough to have created the morlocks who had extensive dealings with the X-Men, who also have extensive dealings with Sinister, How could He not have known about the original 5? Since he appeared in the main timeline before the creation of the X-Men wouldn't he have researched all that stuff?

Sort of related to this same deal at what point did Dark Beast become aware of Bishop and what he knew of the AOA? Was he aware of bishop when he first came back to the past or only after the AOA ended and Bishop thought he was going crazy.

If I'm not mistaken Dark Beast first sees Bishop when he and 616 Beast get into a fight with Fatale. It was issue 40 something of X-Men vol. 2. Maybe 49.

That's something that always bothered me, out of all the X-Men at that point, Beast had the largest presence in the public domain, having been an Avenger. That just makes Dark Beast look stupid.

Dark Beast already knew about Bishop, because he sent Fatale as Pamela Greene(?) to capture/kill him. She was feeding him surveilance through her eyes. I don't remember what issue, but Bishop met her at the bar they frequented a few issues before 49. So Beast had to have been aware of Bishop for some time before he planted Fatale. Which makes it even more ridiculous that he had never seen nor even sought out his own counterpart.

umm maybe DarkBeast had to wait till that point for Bishop to gain the memories of AoA, before that he didnt have any need to impersonate our Hank. or something

hm, unless im mistaken wasnt there some indication in the minus 1 generation x issue that darkbeast had actually suffered some severe memory loss after his transfer o 616? perhaps his mind was clouded during the majority of the early years, so that it simply did not occur to him to look up his own counterparts. or perhaps he simply did not have the resources to safely research the x-men/superheroes of 616. or perhaps, as previously stated, his fear of sinister kept him both busy and far far away from x-factor, where he might possibly have had the biggest chance of recognising 616 hank.
secondly even though darkbeast himself went through a (possibly self inflicted) mutation, what is there to suggest that he would assume that his 616 counterpart had gone through a similiar mutation, allbeit with a different result? perhaps it nevver occurred to him that well liked blue furball associated with the heroic avengers was his counterpart.
on the same topic, i seem to have some form of recolection that darkbeast had contact with the sugarman after they crossed over to 616. is there any indication to the extent of this connection? when did they become aware of eachother?

how he knew/recognised bishop however is beyond me. perhaps there was something about the Mkran timeline snapping back into place (teleported 20years into the past being half out of synch, catching up to the present = catalyst for the drop of a mental penny.)

I think Dark Beast was aware of Emma Frost before any of them. That minus one Generation X I think was the Enma Frost flashback. Did Emma have anything to do with memory loss?

Yeah what was that interaction about with emma and darkbeast? did they ever go into details about it?

I remember emma being fairly young and recently on her own (minus daddys money) when they met...hmmm? girl's gotta eat, u know.
