Storm lost her powers from Uncanny X-Men #185-227 after Gyrich shot her with the Neutralizer, but Forge eventually restored her powers. She was reduced to a permanent, child-like state by Nanny, giving her only limited access to her powers from #248-272. After the Genegineer performed a faux Mutate bonding procedure on her, Storm's lightning would later not only cancel out her surface-level of forced obedience, but also reverted her back to an adult form. As a member of the Australian X-Men, Storm was once rendered invisible to all forms of electronic detection.
