On a far off world observed by the Celestials, the Rejects represent the genetically unstable portion of the population. Unlike the sterile Chosen, the Rejects live in the wild and participate in natural childbirth and rearing. Their lack of technology and primitive ways mean that many children die stillborn or soon after their birth.
