Full Summary:

Days ago Scott Summers and Lee Forester were washed overboat Lee’s boat during a freak storm. Now they investigate the strange island that literally appeared overnight. Scott still wears a blindfold to keep his eyes shut as he has lost his glasses, and has to rely on Lee to describe everything to him and guide him through the strange, almost alien buildings. From their looks they have been under water till now, everything is still wet and slippery.
Lee tries to take advantage of the situation and attempts to kiss Scott, but he pushes her away and tells her that he still grieves for Jean. She gets mad and tells him that she just wanted some human warmth and companionship, not an involvement. She runs off, leaving Scott alone. Cyclops gives in to his panic as he stumbles around and rips of the blindfold, after all he can see, he only has to open his eyes. Yet when his uncontrollable eye-beams damage a building he comes back to his senses and puts on the fold again, right as Lee comes back to says she's sorry.
As the night passes they try not to think about what will happen if they don’ t find food and water soon.

Back at the mansion Wolverine and Nightcrawler are training in the woods. Even though the German mutant can teleport and melt into the shadows Wolverine is able to trace Nightcrawler and even manages to slip away unnoticed (an old ninja trick). When Kurt curiously investigates the last spot he saw Logan, he is attacked and defeated by his friend. Now Kurt owes Logan another case of beer.

At the same time Angel argues with the Professor about Logan’s outrages. Angel tells him and Storm that he can't be on a team with Wolverine and departs since neither Storm nor Xavier take his side. Storm tells Xavier that she also abhors Wolverine’s violent nature. But he is not an X-Man because of his perfect character, but because of his potential for good.

Down below in the hangar, Banshee and Colossus make repairs on the Blackbird watched by Piotr’s baby-sister Illyana. They wonder if she too will grow up to be a mutant as Kurt ports in and tells Banshee that Xavier needs to see him. Up in the office Banshee then is welcomed by a young redheaded woman calling herself Theresa Rourke who gives him a letter from his cousin Black Tom. The letter explains that Theresa is the daughter he didn't know existed. Spiderwoman (Jessica Drew) and some of the X-Men had met her and brought the young woman to the mansion. All are happy for Sean, except Moira who admits to Storm that she's jealous of Theresa and sees her as a potential rival for Sean's love. Storm admits that she sees Kitty’s dance teacher, Stevie Hunter, the same way – as a possible threat to the relationship she has with Kitty. Moira adds that Theresa represents something she can’t give Sean – a child. She had one and he turned into a mutant monster. She dare not have another one.

Later Storm, Kitty, Stevie Hunter, and Jessica go out to see the Dazzler perform. Caliban, a creature covered from head to toes in rags feels the presence of other mutants and comes out of the sewers to investigate. The women hear screams and Kitty dives under the table to phase through the floor into the elevator shaft (all against Storm's orders), while Dazzler draws the crowd’s attention to her. Kitty runs into Caliban who grabs her and intends to take her back underground with him. He is lonely and wants a friend. From the stage Dazzler recognizes the distraught at the table and creates a diversion with her light shows, so that Storm and Spiderwoman can leave unnoticed. They try to help Kitty against Caliban , but are taken off guard. Ororo is knocked out and Jessica thrown out of a window. Caliban then grabs Kitty and hurries down the elevator shaft with his captive.
The noise of the battle causes the audience to panic and Dazzler successfully is able to cool down the tempers with a soft ballad and a matching emotional light show. With the situation under control both Storm and Spiderwoman can pursue Caliban and manage to intercept him as he leaves the building, where Spiderwoman catches him and zaps him with a venom blast. He drops Kitty, and tries to explain that he didn't mean any harm. He was feeling lonely and wanted someone like him around. Just then they hear sirens and Caliban takes off instead of taking up the X-Men’s offer to accompany them.
Later, back in the club the women talk about Caliban being an outcast and how they wish that they could do something to help him. Kitty starts to think about how she's been treating Nightcrawler since she joined the X-Men and hopes that it isn't too late to make it up to him.
Back on the island Scott and Lee finally meet the gentleman who made the island rise. Lee is overjoyed to finally see another living being. Scott on the other hand is horrified when he hears the voice and silently prays Lee won’t mention his name. For if he suspects who Scott is, thy are both as good as dead. With that Magneto welcomes the two of them to his new home.
