Wendigo

In the brief:
I had been visiting uncannyxmen.net for quite a few years before I became a summarizer. I don’t remember how I found it, but I did. I was very impressed with all of the information that was provided. Being a fan of certain characters, I also found the section of pertinent issues in their “life” to be very important to a fan just like me. The villain section was also a favorite of mine Back in April 2006, there was a call out for those who wanted to help out the site. As I actually own most of the 2nd series of Wolverine, I felt that there may be a way that I can help out. Long story short, I e-mailed Douglas and told him I would like to try (I had no previous writing experience) and wrote the summary for Wolverine 24. It took a lot longer than I thought, but I was able to grasp things from the comic that I didn’t the first time I read it. So I continued on.

History:
I grew up in the Northern Virginia area and have for the most part, haven’t gone many other places. After graduating high school, I joined the Marines to see the world. As it turned out I saw Parris Island, South Carolina, various camps near Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and then Washington, DC Navy Yard and Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia where I stayed the remaining portion of my 4 years in.

As a kid, we had a family friend who collected comic books. As I come to think of it, she was a girl actually. She had a decent mix of DC and Marvel comics, mostly DC. She was pretty protective over them, but the Marvel ones were fair game. Whenever we went to visit, I always read the Marvel comics. Most of them were Spider-Man, Hulk, and Fantastic Four. Over time, she gave them to me and I currently still have them. My favorite issue to this day, remains Marvel Team-Up 56. It had Spider-Man and Daredevil teaming up to take on Electro and Blizzard.

Over time, I started to pick up a few issues, here and there. Nothing major until the 2nd Wolverine series came out. I was able to pick up the first 24 issues until I stopped for reasons I can‘t remember. When I did, I was out of comic collecting for quite some time. I got back into collecting when I read that “Origin” was coming out in Entertainment Weekly. I got back into collecting at that point and begin to collect many of the issues that I had missed thanks to a local comic convention.

Comics I currently collect:
Wolverine, Wolverine Origins, New Avengers, and New Excalibur. Weapon X if it ever comes back out (Frank Tieri was awesome!!!!)

Favorite heroes:
Wolverine (naturally), Captain America, Iron Man, Colossus, and Archangel (Apocalypse version).
