advanced cognitive and telepathic abilities enable him to organize and construct his thoughts at accelerated rates, overtly or covertly manipulate the minds of others, resist mind probes, and disable other forms of psychic manipulation, telekinetic powers of levitation, force projection, and conjuring psychic constructs and weapons that physically or mentally assault opponents
Quentin Quire first appeared on the cover of New X-Men (1st series) #126. His first actual appearance was #134, and he assumed the name Kid Omega as of the synopsis box of #135. His "death" was either his secondary mutation dispersing his physical form, or a conscious act by Xorn-Magneto to kill him. After several years in an inert state, only occasionally reformed himself, Quentin was fully restored in X-Men: Schism #1.
Long identified as a potential host for the Phoenix Force, Quentin fully received the power in Mighty Thor (2nd series) #19. He retained the energy of the Phoenix until he gave up that extra power to restore the vampire Jubilee to life as a mutant in Generation X (1st series) #86.
