On a distant world monitored by the Celestials, the super-powered populace was divided between the genetically perfect Chosen, and the genetically variant Rejects. A third faction existed known as Beginagains, who wished to leave behind the constant warfare between the other groups, but their pacifistic ways prevented them from making any real change in their society until Cyclops and X-Factor arrived.
