The Borderers were a subgroup of the Imperial Guard who operated on the fringes of the Shi'ar Empire. Perhaps because of their distance from Chandrilar, most did not hold allegience to Majestrix Lilandra, but were willing to serve her exiled sister Deathbird in a coup. Three Guardsmen, Neutron, Hussar and Warstar, were exiled for their treachery, but have been invited back into the Guard several times since.
