When Magneto was believed dead by the rest of the world, Exodus formed his own Brotherhood. Lost inside the black hole in Xorn's mind in X-Men (2nd series) #164, it was later revealed in Uncanny X-Men #460-461 that they somehow washed ashore on Mojoworld and bartered with Mojo for their return to Earth.
