Gauntlet

The Gauntlet were a cabal of essentially rich and bored mutants encountered by Nate Grey. The group used their formidable psychic abilities to travel the multiverse and steal it's riches. They bit off more than they could chew when they came across a reality in which mankind was forced to constantly mutate in order to survive. One of their members Helen Burnside suggested stealing some of the children from this reality for organ harvesting. After the children were taken and killed one of their parents pursued the Gauntlet back to Earth-616. Initially Nate Grey was helping the group survive these attacks but when he found out the nature of their crimes, he killed all the surviving members himself, save Helen who he sent back to his reality to face the punishment of these creatures.
