After the Upstarts wiped out the Hellfire Club's old rulers, Shinobi Shaw assumed his father's mantle and became the new Black King of the Inner Circle. He attempted to recruit the likes of Archangel, Psylocke and Storm into his Circle, but failed. Shinobi abandoned the Club and fled from the public eye after learning of his father's survival in X-Force (1st series) #62, and his Inner Circle was never heard from again.
