The original Lady Liberators were gathered by Amora the Enchantress, in the guise of Valkyrie, to drive a wedge between the male and female heroes. They included the Wasp, Medusa, Black Widow and the Scarlet Witch.
Several decades later, a new part-time team of Lady Liberators was established. Overseen by Invisible Woman and She-Hulk, this group is actually more of an organized charity for contributing super-heroines. When called upon, however, they also act as a combat unit, including the likes of Valkyrie, Thundra, Storm, Spider-Woman, Tigra, Hellcat and Black Widow.
