Lifers

The "Lifers" was how Bishop referred to Styglut and the prisoners of the future Fitzroy summoned back in time to act as his private army. It was unclear from the dialogue whether these mutants were an actual group called Lifers, or it was merely slang for prisoners serving "life without parole". Bishop, Malcolm and Randall hunted down and killed 92 of the 93 prisoners between Uncanny X-Men #282-287, presumably including named characters such as Eyebeam, Stylles, and Burke. Fitzroy, Bantam and Styglut survived Bishop's initial kill-sweep, and it was later revealed that Mountjoy was also still alive, having avoided Bishop's count by "riding" inside one of his victims.
