The NextWave squad were assembled by the Beyond Corporation to act as agents of HATE, the Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort. After learning that Beyond and HATE were actually a part of SILENT, an evil organization plotting to rule the world or destroy it, the NextWave squad abandoned their employers and hilarity ensued.
