Called the "Left Hand of Horus", the Ravens were twenty-four death scavengers apparently created millennia ago under the command of the Egyptian Gods. Immortal and nearly indestructible, the Ravens shunned sunlight and fed off of humans like the vampires they resembled. Instead of blood, Ravens fed on psychic torment, scanning the minds of mortals and drinking in their most painful memories. Draining them completely would reduce the victim to ash.
Ravens could still be killed through decapitation, and if that happened a new Raven must be chosen within 24 hours to replace the dead one, or else they would all die. One Raven named Crimson attempted to manipulate Archangel into killing her fellow Ravens while she lived on by feeding off of his strength, but her gamble failed and all the Ravens perished.
