Stephen Lang convinced the government to reopen the Sentinels program, creating an orbital command station and the Mark III Sentinels as a part of Project: Armageddon. Lang's Sentinels were constructed based on partial design notes recovered from the Trasks, and were somewhat inferior to their predecessors.
Lang's consciousness was copied into the cerebral programming of his Master Mold unit, and the Lang Master Mold survived the Mark III Sentinels' destruction for many years before eventually getting absorbed into Nimrod and becoming Bastion.
