A subset of Morlocks, the Tunnelers were led by Berzerker. Following the Mutant Massacre, many of the Tunnelers were saved by X-Factor and temporarily resided in their compound. Berzerker and the others felt confined inside, however, and tried to make their way on the surface world, only to die in a street fight with a New York gang.
