The Weapon X Program was the 10th iteration of the Weapon Plus Program, overseen by the Professor and his associates Cornelius and Hines. Their crowning achievement was the adamantium bonding process (secretly provided to the Professor by an unknown party) that transformed Logan into "Weapon X". Other follow-up experiments were performed on many of Logan's teammates in the CIA task force Team X. Most test subjects were fed a complicated series of overlapping memory implants to manipulate their behavior, which lasted even after the program went defunct.
