When Bishop and Fitzroy fell into an alternate future, Fitzroy became the totalitarian dictator known as the Chronomancer and Bishop joined up with a nomadic resistance movement. Originally known as the M-Faces, Bishop's inspiring stories of the X-Men helped mold his group of rebels into a force known as the X-Faces.
