In the House of M, Black Tom Cassidy was a member of the Marauders working for Magneto. They were sent to the United Kingdom hunting for an unknown genetic signature curiously matching that of the House of Magnus. He was incapacitated by Psylocke and Marvel Girl.
In Weapon X: Days of Future Now, the future became increasingly bleak for mutants, and heroes and villains alike gathered together in various teams for protection. Through circumstances unknown, Black Tom became a member of X-Force under the command of Banshee, and at odds with a Wolverine-led X-Men team that included Juggernaut.
