ALTERNATE VERSIONS
So far, no alternate versions of the woman known as Heather McDaniel have been revealed. In fact, in most other known realities, including the main Marvel universe, it was the Caucasian, 
male scientist Dr. Walter Langkowski, who ran a gamma ray experiment that would turn him into Sasquatch by merging him with the Great Beast Tanaraq. For a while though, after his own body had been killed, Walter's soul was inhabiting the female body of his teammate, Snowbird. During that time, he referred to himself as "Wanda Langkowski," and Sasquatch had white fur. (more information can be found in the Spotlight On... Sasquatch I)

Heather McDaniel Hudson only tangentially resembled Walter Langkowski outside of power set but her life experiences did mirror the Heather McNeil Hudson of reality 616. However, it should be noted that despite the similarities, Heather McNeil is not a direct alternate version of the Exiles Heather. A woman resembling the Caucausian McNeil version of Vindicator appears to have been depicted in Heather's flashbacks (though this could have been an art error). Regardless, the 616 Heather shared many similarities to McDaniel outside of her name. This Heather also married James
MacDonald Hudson, however this occured before the couple found a feral Wolverine and helped nurse him back to health. A romantic spark was hinted at with Logan though. Heather would eventually also lose her husband tragically and would carry on his superhero legacy by donning his Guardian suit and eventually settling on his former codename Vindicator. Additionally, she led the Alpha Flight team for many years before her husband returned from death. The reunited couple went on several more adventures before dying and again returning, even settling down to have a child. (more information can be found in the Spotlight On... Vindicator II)
