When a time-traveling Deathlok came after Conan in the present day, an ad hoc band of warriors assembled to defend the anachronistic barbarian. These Savage Avengers have remained together, traveling through time and timelines on their search for home.
(The first volume of Savage Avengers had Conan wandering the modern age, with many guest stars, but no identified team named as Avengers.)
