Cloak and Dagger were originally introduced as teens who gained their powers from exposure to experimental drugs. However, they were eventually launched into a series called the Mutant Misadventures of Cloak and Dagger and in #19, the last issue, it was established that they had been latent mutants, whose powers were tainted by the drugs and the demonic intervention of D'Spayre, the Fear-Lord. This claim was eventually disproven by the X-Club in the Cloak & Dagger one-shot.
The Marvel Knights were an unofficial and technically unnamed team gathered by Daredevil. They appeared in a team book titled "Marvel Knights", composed largely of members from that line of comics.
