The Eternals were created by the Celestials millennia ago as a super-powerful offshoot of human's evolution. They have spread throughout the world, living among humanity and in separate colonies in the polar north, Greece, and Antarctica, and have also colonized Uranus and Saturn's moon of Titan. Several have become active super-heroes such as Sersi, Makkari, Starfox, and the Forgotten One. They have a long-standing feud with Apocalypse, and recently gathered in San Francisco at the site of their immoble god, the Dreaming Celestial, at the same time the X-Men came to California.
