Although Cable was not treated in the modern era like the prophesized savior he was in the Askani era, he did develop a network of followers known as the Believers who believed in his mission against Apocalypse and sought to aid him as best they could. Most were merely informants, but there were several men and women of means able to lend Cable resources on his quest. After an acolyte named Caesar was unintentionally jilted by Cable and lost his faith, however, he turned against the cause. In Cable (1st series) #70, Caesar claimed to have travelled the world and murdered all the Believers.
