In the Age of Apocalypse Nicole and Claudette were known as “the Monets.” While the real Monet 
was an aide of the X-Men’s training team, Generation Next, Emplate and the Monets were members of Sinister’s Mutant Elite Force, and as such supporters of Apocalypse’s rule. Somehow linked to Emplate, the twins displayed some of their brother’s tracking abilities. However, that link also turned out to be their downfall, as when Emplate was killed, the Monet’s minds were fried due to the psychic backlash.
