1) Originally, Caliban was a rather gaunt figure, with taut white skin, a hairless head, and large yellow eyes. He often wore purple trousers and a purple collared shirt with no buttons. When traveling, he frequently bundled up, wearing gloves, scarf, and a large hat to hide his features. He also enjoyed a Japanese "Sushi" T-shirt Kitty Pryde brought back for him from her travels. [Uncanny X-Men (1st series) #148, 169]
2) With the X-Terminators, Caliban wore a variation of their standard uniform. His costume was largely purple, with white boots and gloves, and a large white 'X' imposed over his chest and legs. He also wore a white helmet that completely encased his head and face. [X-Factor (1st series) #17]
3) Once Caliban became a servant of Apocalypse, he adopted the stylized robes and armor worn by the other Horsemen. The entire uniform was a reddish-orange color, with loose and flowing sleeves and braces holding the gloves tightly at the wrist. The tunic had broadly cut shoulders, and a large white skull-like emblem on the chest. The top half of the skull had diagonal lines extending up from the middle of his chest to his shoulders. The costume was seen with two different belts -- one with a large 'A' like Apocalypse's own, the other without an emblem. Caliban either kept his face exposed, or wore a sculpted gold mask that covered his head, like the other Horsemen did. [X-Factor (1st series) #27]
4) Following his augmentation at Apocalypse's hands, Caliban changed dramatically. He now had massive physical proportions, like a serious bodybuilder. The shape of his head was very different as well, clearly more inhuman than before. Initially, his face was slightly elongated, evoking a horse, but later this was ignored artistically in favor of large bony ridges over his eyebrows, giving him an exaggerated skull-like face. His costume was a full bodysuit covering him from the neck down. The suit was primarily red with white adornments. The gloves were white, as were the leggings, which extended up to his mid-thigh and had a deep rectangular cut in the tops. His neckline was primarily red, but with a large white portion extending down over his shoulders and chest. Due to the red points cut into the sides and middle portion, his chest design had a vaguely skull-like appearance. [X-Factor (1st series) #51]
5) When he joined X-Force, Caliban adopted a personalized version of the new team uniforms. He wore a sleeveless purple bodysuit, cut in close to the collar around the neck, zipped up in the front with an 'X' insignia zipper. He also wore fingerless purple gloves and knee-high yellow boots that turned black below the ankles. A large yellow belt with an 'X' buckle circled his waist, and a ring of pouches was held around his right arm on a band. [X-Force (1st series) #44]
6) Briefly, Caliban began wearing a slightly altered costume while working with X-Force. This uniform was a dark blue-black tank top shirt and pants, with a large red 'X' belt. He also wore red fingerless gloves, orange kneepads, and red boots. [X-Force (1st series) #64]
7) After being recreated again as a Horseman to become Pestilence, Caliban adopted an Egyptian motif to pay tribute to his master. He was dressed in a purple loincloth, partially held up by a yellow belt-sash. A large metal ring was hung around his neck by a length of chain and straps, which also connected to the sash at his waist. Caliban also had loose strands and wrappings like those from a mummy hanging around his arms and legs. [Cable (1st series) #73]
8) Once he threw off Apocalypse's control, Caliban didn't really adopt a new costume. Instead, he wore a simple pair of dark pants while leaving his upper body exposed. He retained this look even after Masque's touch removed his excess muscle and restored his original gaunt appearance. [Civil War: X-Men #1]
