SAGE

During X-Men: The End, Sage's quest for knowledge eventually overwhelmed her. In order to achieve the fullest possible pool of information to draw from, Sage wanted to data-dive the minds of everyone on Earth, copying their memories and experiences for her review. Her superiors in the X-Treme Sanctions Executive refused to allow it, and so Sage abandoned the X-Men and went underground. She began using Malice's choker as a means of temporarily possessing others, extracting their memories from Malice after she removed the choker. Branded a renegade, she was ultimately captured by Iceman, M and X-23. Her interrogation at XSE headquarters uncovered a Warskrull in disguise as Val Cooper. Sage began working with the X-Men to uncover an elaborate plot between Mister Sinister, the Shi'ar and eventually Cassandra Nova as well.
