When the Chaos King killed Nightmare, plunging the mortals of Earth into a deep sleep, he then set his sights on slaughtering pantheons of gods. Snowbird's family, the Inua, the Northern Gods, were not exempt and, as the Chaos King and his forces of darkness invaded Quidlivun, the paradise realm of the Inua, Snowbird joined her mother and grandfather to defend their realm. Knowing they couldn't stop the Chaos King themselves, Nelvanna and Hodiak shoved Snowbird through a portal back to Earth, just as the Choas King slayed Nelvanna.

Snowbird was discovered by other surviving members of the original Alpha Flight – Northstar, Aurora and Sasquatch, who then re-introduced them to Guardian, Vindicator, Marrina and Shaman. Sasquatch had managed to have the four dead Alphans pulled from the afterlife with the help of Snowbird's mortal enemies, the Great Beasts, in exchange for helping the Great Beasts against the threat of the Chaos King. While the reunion was initially a joyous one, the reality of the deal that Sasquatch struck with the Great Beasts soon weighed heavily on Snowbird in particular. As Alpha Flight battled the Chaos King's invading forces, the Great Beasts returned to walk the Earth, at least partially.

At first Snowbird was perplexed as to why she was unable to sense them, before she leapt into action to destroy them. However, before she did, Sasquatch stopped her and she was reminded that, if the Great Beasts die, then their returned friends would return to the afterlife. When the Great Beasts were overwhelmed by the Chaos King's forces, they called to Sasquatch to help them. Snowbird warned her teammates not to do so, or they would face her wrath. The heroes deliberated the consequences of aiding the Great Beasts for some time, with Snowbird adamant that the Beasts could not be trusted.

Snowbird was correct – as the Great Beasts' curse began to spread, as civilians woke from their slumber, transformed into flesh-eating Wendigo, the Great Beasts' strength increased. Faced with a troubling decision, Snowbird, Northstar, Shaman and Vindicator turned on their teammates and battled them, preventing them from protecting the Great Beasts. The Beasts' leader, Somon the Artificer, was preparing to make the final transition to Earth, until Snowbird stopped him by using the power of the Inua to freeze the Great Beasts, who were then slaughtered by the Chaos King. In the aftermath, Snowbird remained frustrated at Sasquatch for trusting the Great Beasts, and the humans transformed by the Wendigo curse returned to their human forms. Surprisingly, the four dead Alphans remained alive, and they joined in the final assault against the Chaos King. [Chaos War: Alpha Flight #1, Chaos War #5]

The original Alphans re-established themselves as Canada's premiere super-heroes shortly after and, possibly in an attempt to re-acclimate herself with humanity, Snowbird resumed her long-abandoned position as an officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. At this time, Gary Cody's Unity Party was rallying the nation and, with election day upon the great nation of Canada, unrest was at an all-time high. Snowbird was on patrol on election day, where she was reunited with one of Alpha Flight's former associates, Purple Woman, who had stolen a database containing crucial information which she planned to use to expose Gary Cody's corrupt Unity Party. Snowbird rapidly shifted into an assortment of arctic creatures, overwhelming the Purple Woman who could not possess Snowbird. Snowbird then knocked the Purple Woman unconscious. In the aftermath, the stolen data was handed over to Department H, and the Unity Party was ushered into power. [Alpha Flight (4th series) #0.1]

Fear began to spread across the world thanks to the Serpent God empowering several beings with greater power. One such being was the Atlantean warlord Attuma, an old enemy of Alpha Flight's and who unleashed a wave of destruction on Vancouver's coastline. As Alpha Flight battled Attuma and assisted with the evacuation of civilians, Snowbird detected that old dark forces were at work. She was right in more ways than one, as Canada's new Prime Minister, Gary Cody, enacted the Emergencies Act, suspending the nation's Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and enforcing martial law across Canada in an attempt to stop the spread of fear.

Snowbird and her teammates were not immune to the Prime Minister's orders, as they were captured and taken into custody. With the help of the recently returned Puck, Snowbird and most of the other members of Alpha Flight were freed before they could undergo the mysterious Unity Process, essentially a brainwashing exercise carried out by Department H under the orders of the Unity Party to control certain people. Alpha Flight were branded fugitives by the Unity Party, and one of their own, Vindicator, who had voluntarily undergone the Unity Process in exchange for the return of her daughter, led the charge against Alpha Flight who were now on the run. Snowbird and the rest of Alpha Flight found allies in those whom the government had been rounding up in anticipation of undergoing the Unity Process, and established themselves a camp where they trained their human allies for the coming war. [Alpha Flight (4th series) #1-4]

As the popularity of the Unity Party increased, Snowbird made it plain how she felt about humanity turning to Gary Cody and was even about to suggest abandoning Alpha Flight's quest to restore order before Guardian stopped her. As Alpha Flight's allies had no combat training, Snowbird and several of the others resorted to stealing money from a bank to pay for the Taskmaster to train their human allies. During this time, Snowbird found herself battling the Unity Party's own super-team, Alpha Strike, consisting of several old enemies of Alpha Flight. In truth, Alpha Flight's greatest enemy, the Master of the World, had been manipulating the Unity Party as part of one of his plots to assume control of the world and destroy Alpha Flight. Snowbird joined in the explosive final battle between Alpha Flight and Alpha Strike and the Master of the World, during which a crazed Vindicator threatened to kill her again. The heroes rose above the dire odds they faced and defeated the Master and began restoring those who had undergone the Unity Process as part of healing their great nation. [Alpha Flight (4th series) #5-8]

When strange Mayan temples began appearing in odd locations around the Earth, including one in Alberta, Canada, Snowbird and the rest of Alpha Flight became caught up in a war with ancient Mayan deities who drained the abilities of powerful super beings and used their lifeforce to be restored to life. Snowbird, along with Aurora and Sasquatch, were captured by the Mayan deities and held captive within one of the temples, their energies drained. Snowbird was discovered by allies of the Hulk's, who were also caught up in the conflict. Due to herself being a god, Snowbird seemed in a better state than her teammates, her godly nature aiding her in resisting having her lifeforce drained completely. Snowbird was liberated from the temple and placed in a stasis chamber at Gamma Base where she was later restored to health with a jade amulet and later took part in the final battle to defeat the Mayan deities. [Hulk (2nd series) #53-57]

Alpha Flight continued to serve the great nation of Canada and the world from dangerous threats, one of the most dangerous being the deadly Wendigo outbreak that was spread by eating human flesh. This had been orchestrated by the Great Beast Tanaraq, who once again sought to leave the Realm of the Great Beasts and take over Earth. Alpha Flight worked alongside the X-Men to put an end to the Wendigo outbreak, during which Snowbird was part of a squad that journeyed to the spirit realm. There, it was discovered that the Great Beasts themselves were at war – and Tanaraq himself had won, imprisoning the other Great Beasts and using their power to help strengthen the curse, enabling it to spread beyond Canada's borders across the entire world. In an attempt to placate Tanaraq, Snowbird surprisingly kneeled before him, though he quickly rendered her unconscious. Even without Snowbird's knowledge of the Great Beasts, the X-Men still went on to defeat the Great Beast and reverse the Wendigo Curse. [Amazing X-Men (2nd series) #10-12]

While Alpha Flight remained active as Canada’s super-hero team, the name Alpha Flight was soon re-purposed to the Alpha Flight Space Program. This program operated from the new Alpha Flight Space Station (AFSS), established in low orbit around Earth as Earth's new intergalactic diplomatic, defense and alert station. Snowbird remained with the ground-based Alpha Flight team and, when the Reavers were captured in Canadian soil, she and other members of the team took the Reavers into custody. [Hunt for Wolverine #1]

When the Master of the World was discovered using his alien technology to repair the melting glaciers in the Arctic Circle, Snowbird and Talisman were joined by members of the AFSS – Puck, Sasquatch and Captain Marvel – in investigating. This put them at odds with the teenage heroes known as the Champions, who wanted to hear the Master out, especially if he was indeed repairing the glaciers. Alpha Flight and the Champions battled until it was discovered that the Master was in fact attempting to steal the literal soul of the North. Snowbird and the rest of Alpha Flight teamed up with the Champions to defeat the Master, who escaped during the chaos. [Champions (2nd series) #20-21]

After working alongside Old Man Logan, members of the Canada-based Alpha Flight and Puck from the Alpha Flight Space Station investigated the disappearance of residents of a small town in Nova Scotia which led to battling a mysterious alien. [Old Man Logan (2nd series) #46-47]

When Snowbird and Talisman felt a strange mystical calling to the Arctic Circle, they journeyed there to investigate and ventured into the village of Kugaaruk, Nunavut. They found no sign of life as they explored the village and, when they did find one of the locals, they were urged to leave, as death loomed. Snowbird rescued Talisman from strange carcass-creatures, and assumed the form of the albino Sasquatch to battle the rabid creatures - but they weren't the true enemy. Summoning her divine abilities, Snowbird broke through the darkness, banishing the creatures and discovered in their place the spirit of a confused old man – Richard Easton, the mortal man who vanished after Snowbird's mother used him to give life to Snowbird.

Knowing that his mind could not handle the godhood that he embraced to create her, Snowbird took the spirit of the old man into her arms, and asked Talisman to set his soul free, which she did. With the village safe and Richard Easton's long-forgotten spirit finally at peace, Snowbird was left with a reminder of the human side of herself, the mystic band that her father used all those years ago to summon the Arctic Gods. [Alpha Flight: True North #1]

With the rise of anti-mutant hysteria following the formation of the mutant-nation Krakoa, the Canadian government and Department H soon redirected resources back to the ground-based Alpha Flight team. Working in cooperation with the organization Orchis, Department H focused the efforts of a small team of classic Alpha Flight members who would protect Canada from the “mutant menace.” They were tasked with capturing renegade mutants who would be extradited from Canada following an all-out ban on mutants within the country. A mainstay of the ground-based Alpha Flight during the height of the Alpha Flight Space Station days, Snowbird worked alongside Guardian, Puck and Shaman to carry out the government's orders.

In truth, Snowbird and the others were working alongside their former teammates, Northstar and Aurora, as well as Aurora's partner, Fang, and a new Nemesis. The renegade Alphans had established a safe haven for mutants, “Krakoa North,” where they would hide rescued mutants until they could be safely transported to Chandilar. Unfortunately, with the mutant planet Arakko in the midst of a civil war, it was not a viable option for the rescued mutants to be taken there. Snowbird and the others would engage with the “renegade” Alpha Flight and battle them, purposefully losing so that the renegade Alphans could escape with rescued mutants. This would draw the ire of Department H's new director, Erika Dorion, and the heroes knew they had to move quickly to relocate the mutants before their plot was discovered. [Alpha Flight (5th series) #1]

During the dangerous rescue missions, Snowbird made an effort to get close with the new Nemesis. It's possible that, due to her heightened senses, Snowbird knew the identity of Nemesis. She also maintained a concern for the safety of Northstar, Aurora and Fang, particularly when Director Dorion ordered the new Box Sentinels to apprehend them. Unfortunately, Alpha Flight were unable to maintain their undercover mission for long and, after rescuing former Alpha Flight associate Feedback, Snowbird and the others were taken into custody. Fortunately, they were able to help Northstar, Aurora and Fang to escape with Feedback and several other rescued mutants. Snowbird and her teammates were fitted with power-inhibitors and placed in a super-human prison facility. [Alpha Flight (5th series #2-5]

What lies ahead for Snowbird and her teammates and the future of superhumans in Canada under a ruthless Department H remains to be seen.
