Life on Utopia was proving to be just as dangerous and chaotic as that on the mainland, as the X-Men were targeted first by Selene and her undead army and then by Bastion and his future Sentinels. It was Bastion’s onslaught that proved to be the deadlier, as he immediately began targeting the teleporters in a bid to limit the X-Men’s movements. Nightcrawler, Ariel and the Vanisher were all seemingly killed and Magik was banished to Limbo against her will. Not wanting to sacrifice Pixie too, Cyclops decided to send her to Limbo to retrieve the more combat-efficient Magik. Feeling that Illyana's life was constantly being valued over hers, Pixie was dead set against rescuing her especially after Colossus yelled and trashed her bedroom. It took some heartfelt convincing from Anole but she relented and teleported the group into the Hell-like realm where they were instantly set-upon by demons. The team was scattered as they tried to fend them off and Pixie was cornered by N’astirh, one of Magik’s former demon servants who had now risen against her.

N’astirh recognized Pixie from her previous encounter into Limbo and knew about her soul dagger. He told Pixie he could give the fragment of her missing soul back and all she had to do in return was to kill Magik and take her soul sword. N’astirh took Pixie to where Magik was being held and the young girl stood in front of her nemesis contemplating her next action. Instead of begging for her life, Magik taunted Pixie and goaded her into finally seeking revenge. Pixie resisted her urges and stabbed N’astirh instead, severely injuring him. At the mercy of his demon army, things somehow got even worse when some of her teammates showed up under the influence of Gambit’s Death persona. Fighting against the demons and her own corrupted teammates, Pixie managed to survive, thanks to Magik and her soul sword. Pixie was still angry with her but Magik was grateful for Pixie's rescue and assured her that she would find a way to heal Megan’s soul. With Magik saved, the war-weary team teleported back to Utopia to rejoin the X-Men’s battle against Bastion. [Second Coming crossover, X-Men: Hellbound #1-3]

Exhausted by recent events Megan decided to take a little time off and go on holiday. Sadly, she wasn’t to get much time to herself, as the moment she was on her own she was captured by a group of soldiers. The squad had been part of a secret mission to raise a group of mutant children in Limbo but things had gone wrong and they had been left there. Happening to come across the bloodstone amulet, the soldiers had figured out what it was for and that they needed Pixie’s soul dagger to help operate it. After they captured Magik and the rest of the New Mutants, the soldiers set about opening the portal to unleash the Elder Gods on Limbo. They used Magik’s soul sword to pull the fragment of Pixie’s soul that resided in the dagger out of her and into the amulet. Once they got what they wanted, they packed up their things and set off to open the portal. However, along the way Magik managed to escape with Pixie and the X-Men now made a stand against the Elder Gods. Ultimately, it was Legion who used his reality warping powers to erase the Gods from existence. With the threat from Limbo over and the amulet in her possession, Magik finally returned the missing pieces of Pixie’s soul back to her. [New Mutants (3rd series) #15-21]

Whilst Megan was happy to put an end to a dark chapter in her life and finally have her soul back together again, she still had to contend with the usual X-Men antics. After surviving a mutant plague created by a bunch of mutant wannabes, she also narrowly avoided being turned into a vampire. [Uncanny X-Men (1st series) #530-534, X-Men (3rd series) #1-6]

When Legion warped reality and created a new world, Megan, like all the other X-Men, had her life re-written. When it was put back, she was haunted by the memories of her false life and she didn’t care for who she had been in it. Megan opted to have the memories removed but after she admitted to kind of liking the darker version of herself, Emma decided to leave Pixie with a few highlights of her alternate life. [Age of X, X-Men Legacy (1st series) #248]

Pixie’s talents with magic came in handy when the X-Men were called to help a friend of Dani Moonstar’s. The old woman had trapped a hoard of demons inside her years before but, as she lay dying of old age, she couldn’t contain them any longer and they broke free. Pixie revealed she had been learning how to wield magic in her spare time and she was able to cast a spell to seal the demons away once more. [X-Men (3rd series) #15.1]

Cyclops was starting to rely on Pixie more and more and the young X-Man found herself going on some rather important missions with the senior X-Men. When the Fantastic Four came to Utopia with a message from Cyclops’ ex-girlfriend Lee Forrester, Pixie found herself travelling to another dimension to rescue the stranded woman. Unfortunately, things took a sinister turn when the group split up and some were captured by aliens who had invaded the world. Pixie and her group aligned themselves with an indigenous tribe and mounted a rescue attempt but they were all captured, except for Pixie and Lee. The two located where their friends were being held and broke them out, with Pixie demonstrating that she was just as capable fighter as she was a teleporter. With the team together again, they managed to repel the invading race and save the planet. [X-Men (3rd series) #16-19]

When the actions of the new Hellfire Club prompted the countries of the world to start up their Sentinel programs again, Pixie was busy teleporting X-Men around the world to deal with the fallout. Unfortunately, her hands were severely injured during one of the excursions and she was unable to teleport any more, due to the pain. Grounded on Utopia, she came to the aid of Hope Summers and her new mutant protégées, the Lights. Hope was having a disagreement with the other mutants but Pixie gave an impassioned speech and told them that she would defend the island regardless. [X-Men: Schism #1-5, Generation Hope #10-12]

Pixie was in great pain due to her injuries and she ended up seeking solace with another student, Velocidad, who had also been injured during the Sentinel attack. After some flirting between the two, they kissed but Hope, Velocidad’s sort-of girlfriend, walked in right at that moment. Pixie was furious that she had been used like that and stormed off. The recent Sentinel attack and Cyclops’ response to it had prompted Wolverine to rebuild the original school in Westchester again and Pixie was set to leave for it. Hope approached her and asked her to stay on Utopia and join their team. Hope was able to stabilize newly emerged mutant’s powers and she made it her mission to help them before anything bad could happen. Pixie’s power meant they could travel the globe instantly and get to any mutant in need within moments. Pixie was initially wary at joining, given the tryst with Velocidad, who was also on the team, but she eventually decided to stay. [X-Men: Regenesis, Generation Hope #12]

Pixie’s first mission on the team took her to Pakistan, where Hope was expecting to find a newly emerged mutant. Instead, they found an amnesic Sebastian Shaw at war with a group of extremely well-armed men. Pixie was kidnapped by the men and it was Velocidad who ended up freeing her just in time for Pixie to teleport everyone home before the authorities arrived. [Generation Hope #13-14]

Whilst the team was waiting for the next new mutant to emerge, Pixie decided to bury the hatchet with Velocidad and went to his room. Once again, though, her attraction to him took over and the two started flirting until they found themselves kissing. Unfortunately, they were disturbed once more when her fellow teammate Zero finally showed his true colors and tried to kill Hope. Pixie and Velocidad went to Hope’s aid but Zero had corrupted a number of X-Men using his powers. Pixie took Magneto out of the fight but was subsequently knocked out by the Stepford Cuckoos. Zero was eventually killed and his influence over the X-Men stopped. Despite the recent upheavals and bad feelings between the various members, the team decided to stay together with Hope as their leader. [Generation Hope #15-17]

One day, Pixie became the target of a group of Skrulls looking to get off Earth and back to their home world. They had been stranded on the planet after their race’s failed invasion and they needed Pixie’s teleporting abilities to get them a spaceship. They initially tricked her into getting them into the Fantastic Four’s base but, when their identities were revealed, they simply kidnapped her instead. During their heist, the Skrulls clued Pixie in on their intentions and she began to feel sorry for them. When the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man caught up with them all, Pixie teleported the Skrulls aboard the ship they had found. After taking down one of the Skrulls who was hell bent on laying waste to New York, Pixie helped the rest of the aliens leave the planet and begin their journey home. [X-Men (3rd series) #28-29]

Since the mass exodus off Utopia a few weeks before, Storm had been put in charge of the island’s security and she drafted Pixie into her team. Storm decided to utilize Pixie’s powers by having her deploy psychic transponders into the atmosphere around the world, essentially making it easier for her to blindly teleport to different areas of the world. She would soon have use for these, as Storm took the team to track down an ancient race of mutants long-thought dead. Clones of these mutants were popping up all over the world and the team managed to figure out who was creating them and put an end to the operation. They soon discovered that one of these ancient mutants was actually still alive and had been hiding amongst the rest of humanity for centuries. Tracking him down, the X-Men took him into their care and Pixie was curious as to the nature of the man who was essentially like an ancestor to them. The man, Gabriel Shepherd, was incredibly friendly and Pixie struck up a conversation with him but he ended up using his gifts to read her mind to find out everything she knew. He was furious that the bodies of his friends and family had been cloned and he lashed out at the X-Men. It was Pixie who managed to get through to him and calm him down. After she teleported them to a remote place, the two talked and she tried to make him see that the world had changed much since he was born. Gabriel admired her optimistic outlook in the face of adversity and asked her to make sure the remains of his ancient race received an appropriate burial. He seemingly dissolved away, leaving Pixie to think he had ended his life. Her words must have resonated with him though, as he reappeared months later, using his mutant powers to aid the X-Men and humanity. [X-Men (3rd series) #30-37]

When the X-Men and Avengers went to war over what to do about the newly returned Phoenix Force, the students of Utopia, Pixie included, were forcibly put into the care of the staff at the Avengers Academy. The students fought back and were eventually let go so they could stand by the rest of the X-Men. In the fallout of the situation, Hope’s team was dissolved and Utopia was destroyed. With nowhere else left to go, Pixie enrolled at the school Wolverine founded in Westchester, the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. [Avengers vs X-Men crossover]

Under Wolverine’s leadership, the student body found themselves being used less on X-Men missions and Pixie was now primarily a student. With only the minimal distractions and attacks from various villains, Pixie finally graduated from the school and was granted official membership to the X-Men. [Wolverine and the X-Men (1st series) #42]

When the Gem of Cyttorak returned to Earth and the demon lord Cyttorak put forth a call for new avatars, the X-Men responded. They purposefully left previous avatar Colossus back at the school so he wouldn’t be tempted by the power again but he wasn’t one to sit on the sidelines. Colossus pleaded with Pixie to take him to help the X-Men but she had some serious reservations about helping him due to how Peter had treated her in the past regarding Illyana. She reluctantly agreed and teleported him to the Korean temple in which the gem was being kept. They landed in the middle of a battle and Pixie managed to save Firestar by using a new spell she was taught by Scarlet Witch, known as the Mists of Morpheus, to put the deadly Crossbones to sleep. The gem was unfortunately claimed by the crazed Living Monolith and Pixie had to teleport the X-Men into Cyttorak’s dimension to bargain with the deity to bring an end to his terror.
