Overview:

After Chris Claremont returned to the main X-men titles in 2000 as part of the Revolution branding, he set up a plot line involving finding the original diaries of the precognitive mutant Destiny. A team of X-men led by Storm debuted in this new third main X-men title with the diary plot line being resolved within the first year of publication. Eventually, the team's purpose shifted to that of being the XSE, a type of sanctioned world police. This new status quo continued past cancellation and into Chris Claremont's taking back over Uncanny X-men (1st series) with issue #444. Years later, Claremont would return to this team and would write a non-canon take of their continued adventures in a limited series X-treme X-men (3rd series).
