A picture can tell a thousand stories, so could the same apply to a logo? Well, here at the Uncanny X-Men.Net, we've had quite a few different designs since we started back in 2000, so let‘s take a trip down the memory lane and see all those goofy logos the site has had since it started.
The Early Years
The Strangest Super-Logo of them all For day one for the site, it was quite hard to come up with a suitable logo for it. We wanted to use the old X-Men logo from the comic but couldn't imagine exactly how. In the end, we decided that we would design the logo in such a manner that, if need be, it could be used as a banner. Actually though, it was never used that way, but the thought was definitely there.

Note: During the month of January 2001, the site ran with a modified version of this logo with the Characters from the Age of Apocalypse overlaid. The reason for this was to tie in with the Blink mini-series published at the time. The logo doesn't appear to exist anymore due to a hard drive crash many moons ago. However, the idea of overlaying the AoA characters would return at a later time.
All New, All Different Logo Around the time of Grant Morrison starting his tenure and the new Marvel regime (Joe Quesada and Bill Jemas) revamping all the X-titles in summer 2001, the site got a redesign. One of the key things that we were aiming for was to come up with a logo that was more specific to the site. The bottom line of the X was exactly the same length as the navigation bar and would connect with it on the left side of the front page.
The funny thing was that we weren't aware of the Uncanny X-Men comic book getting a logo change at the same time, and maybe things would have been different if we had waited a couple more months. However, that said, this new look gave us the opportunity to start altering the characters within the logo without altering the logo itself, although it took many hours with an art program to create the template to do this.
